Meet Jill

Jill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the State of New Jersey and both a New Jersey Certified School Social Worker and Certified Supervisor through the New Jersey Department of Education. Jill graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. Jill then earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. Recently, Jill completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Ramapo College.

Jill has over 10 years of experience working as a clinical social worker with adolescents, adults, and families. In addition to being a social worker at Anew Counseling Services, Jill works full time as the Supervisor of Pupil Personnel Services of a Pre-K to 12 school district and worked as the School Social Worker prior. Jill’s experience working in a school has given her the ability to truly understand the adolescent mind and use her expertise to connect well with this age group.

Jill is a very warm, caring, uplifting therapist that utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach, as well as a strengths based perspective. Jill has a strong background in writing extensive reports focusing on not only the emotional health of individuals, but the effects of the social environment. Jill is able to assist clients with confronting life’s stressors and developing positive coping mechanisms.
